Comparative Analysis of Power and Hardware Utilization in an Energy-Efficient CAR Parking System

Currently, several emerging nations are confronted with significant energy deficiencies. This research study focuses on the implementation of a car parking system using Kintex and Virtex FPGA devices. When comparing the power consumption data of the Kintex board, which recorded 2.985 watts, with the Virtex board, which recorded 4.918 watts, it can be seen that the Kintex board exhibited more favorable power consumption performance. When comparing the thermal margin of the Kintex and Virtex, it can be seen that both exhibit a thermal margin of around 72.60°C. This similarity suggests that there is no significant difference between the two in terms of thermal performance. Kintex has a greater propensity for clean energy utilization and energy conservation in comparison to Virtex. Kintex has a higher degree of cost-effectiveness in comparison to Virtex.
