Design & Development of IOT based Smart Energy Meter for Energy Conservation

Over time, the need for power has grown dramatically. The reduction of domestic energy consumption is one method for addressing today's energy issues. This has made it more important to use precise and affordable power measurement techniques. In this paper, Arduino is used to create a GSM-based prepaid electricity energy meter. Oneof the finest ideas for the existing power payment system is the prepaid electricity energy meter. Similar to the utilization of cell phones, this technology allows to update the balance and recharge the gadget. This technique can be used to recharge the electricity balance by sending a quick SMS. If the system balance is low or zero, it might also cut off the connection to the home power source.
