Intelligent Weight Monitoring: A Telegram Alert System for Multi-Purpose Use in Saline Bottle Management and General Weighing

Ensuring the optimal administration of saline bottle is paramount for patient well-being. The proposed system addresses the critical need for precise saline level monitoring through the integration of advanced technology. The system converts the mechanical force of the saline bottle's weight into an electrical pulse with the help of load cell. The HX711 module processes this pulse, relaying weight data to the ESP32 micro-controller. The ESP32 calculates 50% and 80% weight values, triggering Telegram alerts upon reaching these thresholds. The prototype incorporates features such as a buzzer for alarms when the weight falls below 20%, a 4-digit seven-segment display for real-time weight visualization, a tare button for resetting current weight to zero, and a versatile function button for expanded system use. The solution makes use of the ESP32's flash memory to safely retain the initial weight data, guaranteeing manual intervention-free data recovery even in the event of a power loss. Furthermore, the device improves safety by identifying potential blockages in the IV line by means of extended intervals in which the bottle's weight does not decrease. This multipurpose, automated system greatly improves patient care protocols by streamlining saline level monitoring and providing healthcare personnel with proactive alerts and real-time data.
