Analysis of High-Performance Design Metrics for Multipliers using Novel System Design Techniques

The QCA is a new paradigm in the field of VLSI nanotechnology. The quantum dot, which uses the polarization of electrons to express binary information, is the basic building component of QCA. In contrast to technologies like CMOS, GDI, and MGDI, this innovative technique enables us to create any kind of logical circuit with less space, less power, and less delay. Since QCA operates on principle of quantum mechanics it consumes less power, speed of the circuit can be limited by the electron tunnelling between the quantum dots, and it occupies minimal area as it uses quantum dots to represent the circuit. It takes a high level of proficiency in digital logic design, fabrication techniques, and quantum physics to develop high performance multipliers like Baugh Wooley, Wallace-Tree, Array multipliers. The key objective of this research is to develop a QCA-based multiplier architecture that is dependable and efficient, capable of outperforming electronic multipliers in terms of speed and low power consumption. A comparative analysis between QCA based multipliers and conventional electronic multipliers will be conducted, showcasing the applications of Quantum-Dot Cellular Automata.
