To Enhance VANET Communication Services using a Metaheuristic Algorithm

As a subtype of mobile ad hoc networks, vehicle ad hoc networks (VANETs) are regarded as the essential elements of intelligent transportation systems (ITS). It permits vehicle-to-vehicle communication when some roadside base stations function as fixed infrastructures and movement is constrained by a VANET mobility model. For applications in this delicate field, accurate data transmission is always necessary and from any location. Thus, to achieve optimal multicast routing, the VANET routing protocols must be suitably modified to satisfy the quality of service (QoS) criteria. Since clustering improves VANET communication services, it is essential to VANET routing communication. In this paper, clustering is being used to provide efficient VANET services. Performance analysis is done with the Metaheuristic algorithm such as the Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm (NSGA). Analysis shows the NSGA provides efficient VANET communication services as compared to the Genetic Algorithm (GA), Ant Colony Optimization (ACO), and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO).
