Automated Steel Dust Cleaning System for Industrial Environment

Steel manufacturing processes generate more dust, posing both environmental and health risks. Traditional manual cleaning methods are labor-intensive and inconsistent, leading to prolonged exposure to steel dust, which can cause respiratory problems. Automated solutions must overcome challenges such as efficient obstacle detection, reliable navigation in complex industrial environments, and effective dust collection and disposal. To address these issues, an Automated Steel Dust Cleaning System (ASDCS) is proposed. The ASDCS autonomously navigates facilities using infrared sensors to detect obstacles and an enhanced sweeping mechanism to effectively collect dust. The collected dust is deposited into a removable container for easy disposal or recycling. This system ensures proper dust management, enhancing both the safety and cleanliness of the manufacturing environment.
