Faster Implementation of Binary Counter by Bubble Sorting Network

One of the problems that has been explored for decades is sorting. Many Sorting algorithms have been studied since the dawn of computing. Bubble sorting is a popular and effective sorting method that has been utilized in a variety of applications. Any kind of sorting algorithm requires a faster and more efficient environment for high-speed data processing. This project involves implementing both sequential and parallel bubble sort algorithms. Additionally, it introduces binary counters inspired by the bubble sorting technique. These counters are used to rearrange sequences by splitting their inputs into two groups and then employing sorting networks. The focus is on designing and optimizing a (7,3) counter using an approach that prioritizes performance in terms of delay, area-delay product, and power-delay product. Similarly, a (15,4) counter is developed, which achieves shorter processing times while consuming less power and occupying less space. When these counters are integrated into a 16*16-bit multiplier, the overall performance in terms of area delay product and power delay product surpasses that of other counter designs.
