Understanding Methods of Top Maximal Extractable Value Searchers

This research explores the complex methodologies of Maximal Extractable Value exploitation in blockchain trans-actions within the context of single-chain multi-DEX, focusing on top MEV searchers whose objective is to identify and capitalize on sandwich opportunities. A comprehensive strategy is employed, integrating Sandwich Attacks, Builder Bribes, and dynamic arbitrage through front-running and back-running techniques. MEV strategies are orchestrated by a network of participants, utilizing a variable number of transaction hops to compete with other Maximal Extractable Value bots by increasing the profitability of each transaction followed by bribing builders. The Sandwich Attack involves strategically placing buy and sell orders around a target transaction to increase the price slippage from market prices, with the assistance of block builder bribes to incentivize network validators or miners for transaction bundle prioritization. Participants exploit time delays of public mem-pool transactions tactically using front and back running to capitalize on MEV opportunities. Also, this research study ana-lyzes and understands a few of these complex MEV exploitation methods of winner bots, explaining victim transactions within the Ethereum network.
