Research on Hybrid Vehicle Energy Management Strategy Based on Fuzzy Control

This paper builds a parallel hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) full vehicle model in Cruise, and selects three input variables, including required torque, battery state of charge (SOC), and engine speed, and two output variables, including engine required torque and motor required torque, controlled by torque. A fuzzy control strategy model is built in Simulink. The joint simulation is carried out under four typical driving conditions: Urban Driving Cycle (UDC), Extra Urban Driving Cycle (EUDC), New European Driving Cycle (NEDC), and Worldwide Harmonized Light-Duty Vehicles Test Cycle (WLTC). The Various indicators of the whole vehicle is compared and analyzed horizontally. At the same time, a longitudinal comparison is made with the logic threshold control strategy widely used in actual vehicles. It is concluded that the fuzzy control strategy built in this paper has higher road adaptability and fuel economy.
