Self-started tunable femtosecond Cr2+:ZnSe laser from 2.15 to 2.4 μm

Thisstudy presents the development of a tunable femtosecond laser on a Cr
^2
+
: ZnSe crystal with a Lyot filter in the mid-infrared region. The system provides continuous wavelength tunability in the range of 2.15-2.4 $\mu$m with with a maximum spectrum width of 96.5 nm at a wavelength of 2.2 $\mu$m.
