Yellow neon laser pumped by a pulsed inductive longitudinal discharge

The experimental studies results of the energy, temporal and spatial lasing characteristics of Penning neon laser ($\lambda=585.3 \mathrm{~nm}$) pumped by a pulsed inductive longitudinal discharge are presented. The maximum generation energy of 0.14 mJ was obtained in a mixture of $\mathrm{Ne}: \mathrm{H}_{2}-1: 2$. Lasing power reached 700 W with average radiation pulses durations of 200 ns (FWHM). The divergence of the laser beam was no more than 2 mrad.
