Coherent laser systems for remote atmosphere sensing

The paper studies the current trends in development of coherent laser systems as a radiation source in remote atmosphere sensing as well as precise ranging and data transfer through atmosphere or space. In the paper, a design of the coherent laser systems based on fiber technologies or another laser medium is presented. The paper also provides analysis of the technical requirements for laser components and discuss main parameters characterizes quality of emitted radiation.
