Luminescent properties of the Er3+/Yb3+co-doped Bi2O3-GeO2 glasses

Erbium and ytterbium co-doped bismuth-germanate glasses were synthesized and their luminescent characteristics have been investigated. It was shown that addition of these rare-earth oxides leads to an expansion of the luminescence spectral range of $\mathrm{Bi}_{2} \mathrm{O}_{3}-\mathrm{GeO}_{2}$ glasses.
