Dyakonov surface modes in an interfacial ring resonator

In this research, we predict the occurrence of Dyakonov surface modes in an anisotropic ring-shaped interface resonator. Our results indicate that for larger rings, the resonant conditions for these surface modes can be effectively described using the propagation constant of the Dyakonov surface waveguide mode in a straight interface waveguide. However, we show that this method becomes less precise as the ring’s radius diminishes. Additionally, we examine the field structure of these modes.
