NOMA Scheme Performance Under Rayleigh Fading Channels: Exploring Power Allocation Effects

According to the tremendous development in wireless communication systems in 6G and the requirement to serve large numbers of users at the same time, Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) offers the solution by reducing power consumption and optimizing bandwidth utilization, thus improving the spectral efficiency (SE) of the system. NOMA is required in advanced systems because of its ability to increase the number of devices without paying any more price for power or bandwidth. Therefore, the fixed fractions of power allocation (FP A) are analyzed with the downlink NOMA system in this paper, in particular; Most used in previous papers. This study is made over rayleigh fading channels to explore the effects of selecting this fraction and recommend the use of each one for better performance. Furthermore, the simulation was performed by MATLAB to present the different effects of FP A.
