Models for Short-Term Energy Load Forecasting: the Moroccan Cities Case and Dataset

Electricity is at the heart of modern economies and provides an increasing share of energy services. The demand for electricity is expected to increase further due to increasing individual incomes. The electrification of several areas, such as industry, transport, and heating, and the growing demand for connected digital devices. This study aims to use smart meters to collect energy consumption data from industrial, institutional, and building sources. Artificial intelligence will be used to forecast consumption and balance energy supply and demand in Morocco. The strategy used in this study is applying machine learning and deep learning models to new data collected by these smart electricity meters.
