Comparison of the rendering speed of the most popular image-based rendering techniques

3D computer graphics aim to increase the realism of rendered scenes and enhance their appearance with visual detail while minimizing the computing time required to create a 3D scene. To achieve this, it emphasizes the importance of accurately rendering the interaction between the view ray and the objects in a 3D scene to obtain a realistic rendering. It also aims to optimize the process of finding the first point of intersection to improve rendering speed. In this paper, we review recent work on ray tracing algorithms, which seek to determine the first point of intersection between the view ray and rendered surfaces. We also present a comparative study of these rendering techniques to determine the fastest method.
