Implemented University Practical Course for 5G Stand Alone System with Augmented Reality

One fundamental prerequisite for the dynamic development of the industry is the effective provision of engineers in adequate quantity and quality. The responsibility for engineering education lies with technical higher education institutions. To maintain the quality of education, it is essential to continuously integrate the latest technological toolsets and contemporary knowledge materials due to rapid technological advancements. To ensure this, a measurement practice procedure has been developed in the 5G Lab research facility of the Kandó Kálmán Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Obuda University, with the collaboration of instructors from the Department of Electronic Warfare at the Faculty of Military Sciences and Officer Training at the National University of Public Service. This procedure effectively supports the education of 5G Stand Alone (5G SA) systems in Bachelor's and Master's level electrical engineering programs using augmented reality (HoloLens 2) technology. The paper presents possible applications of the solution and its connection to education, as well as the project implemented to support the education of 5G SA systems.
