A Spatiotemporal Correlation Sea Clutter Generation Method Based on Measured Data Characteristics

In order to study the influence of sea clutter on radar detection performance, designers need to test and evaluate the radar detection performance in various marine environments, but the field test is expensive and it is not easy to obtain clutter data in specific marine environments, so it is of great significance to generate sea clutter with spatiotemporal correlation characteristics for radar system performance evaluation and verification. Based on the analysis of the spatiotemporal correlation characteristics of the measured clutter data, the zero-memory nonlinear transformation and the spherical invariant stochastic process method, a clutter simulation method of spatiotemporal correlation Rayleigh distribution and K distribution is proposed, which can not only independently control the amplitude distribution characteristics and spatial correlation characteristics of the simulated clutter, but also independently control the sea clutter spectrum characteristics. The simulated clutter data and the measured clutter data are compared and verified from the amplitude distribution characteristics, temporal correlation and spatial correlation characteristics, respectively. The comparison results show that the generated sea clutter data is highly consistent with the measured clutter data.
