Aggregate Basis Functions for Subdomains of an Antenna Array

Since characteristic mode basis functions (CMBF) cannot reflect the characteristics of the source, in this paper, we introduce the antenna basis function (AnBF) to characterize the feeding property. Combine it with CMBF to form a hybrid aggregation basis function (ABF) for dealing with the radiation problem of PEC array. The convergence behavior of the ABF generated by different subdomains is studied. Some numerical examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the ABF.
