Optimization of an Extended Antenna Field

This paper considers the option of optimizing the geometric structure of the antenna field using a genetic algorithm. The coordinates of the antenna elements and the distances between them are determined. The criterion for optimization is to reduce the level of diffraction peaks. To simplify the initial studies, the antenna elements are taken as point sources of radiation with a single radiation pattern. The resulting difference between the main maximum and the diffraction peaks after optimization was 4.5 dB using 30 antenna elements at a frequency of 100 MHz.
