Design and Implementation of X-band Multi-channel Broadband Transceiver System Based on RFSoC

This paper introduces a design and implementation of an X-band multi-channel broadband transceiver system based on Xilinx RFSoC board with a main chip model XCZU49DR, the board is characterized by low cost, low power consumption, small volume and high performance. In this paper, we combined the calibration method of near field and far field to complete the channel amplitude phase correction of the system, the radiation patterns of the system under receiving and transmitting modes verify a good amplitude phase consistency after the correction. In addition, we tested the spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR), the signal to noise and distortion (SINAD), the effective number of bits (ENOB) and the total harmonic distortion (THD) of the RFSoC-ADC, the spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) of the RFSoC-DAC, the receive gain and transmit gain of the system. The experimental results show that the system has good working performance, which meets the requirements in the receiving and the transmitting modes. The X-band multi-channel broadband transceiver system proposed in this paper provides a new development platform for the radar system, which can improve the integration of radar equipment and the flexibility and comprehensiveness of functions.
