Broadband Photonic Terahertz Frequency-hopping Source Based on Two-stage Optical Injection Locking

We propose a photonic terahertz frequency-hopping source based on two-stage optical injection locking, which is able to improve the side-mode suppression ratio by more than 6 dB compared to single-stage injection locking. It is experimentally demonstrated that it can operate at D-band in range of 112–140 GHz, with a frequency-hopping bandwidth of 28 GHz in total and a side mode suppression ratio of over 20 dB per channel.
