Buoy Loss Model for Satellite-to-sea Communication Cooperating 6D Motion

Considering the sea waves and antenna pattern, a satellite-to-sea (S2S) communication scenario based on six-dimensional (6D) motion of the transmitter and receiver is given, and the characteristics of buoy loss are studied. Based on the wave spectrum function and multiple coordinate transformation relationships, the buoy loss under different wind speeds is derived. The results indicate that wind speed and antenna pattern have significant impacts on buoy loss. Moreover, the path loss under different satellite trajectories is simulated and analyzed, demonstrating that the proposed model is superior to the performance of the traditional ITU model.
