Location of the Suffa Observatory: Problems of Electromagnetic Compatibility and Regulatory Framework

Development of observatories for subTHz radio astronomy researches faces problems of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) with industrial and household devices. This is This is especially critical for ultra-high-sensitive receivers. Systems operating in their vicinity may emit electromagnetic waves in a wide range of frequencies. This problem is of great importance for the Suffa Observatory being developed now.The report provides an overview of the existing set of possible problems Suffa Observatory under development, analyzed the world practical experience of legal regulation and technical solutions that counter the negative impact of interference when it is completely impossible to avoid them. A list of measures has been formulated to reduce negative effects on the measurements taken.
