Advanced Filtering Power Dividers: Achieving Superior Isolation in RF Applications

This research outlines the conception and analysis of two Filtering Power Divider (FPD) models, essential in efficacious RF/microwave applications [1]. The innovative approach amalgamates filtering components to concurrently achieve power division and signal filtration, thereby offering a versatile solution for wireless and satellite communication systems [2]. Design 1, a three-port configuration, exhibited commendable input matching (S

Both models displayed solutions to Out of Band Reflection (OBR) [4], with Design 2 featuring an Absorptive filter to curtail stray signals, underscoring its adaptability and potential for enhanced isolation. The choice between the designs should consider application-specific requisites and balance trade-offs between complexity, cost, and performance. The completed FPD project offers an agile, compact solution apt for a gamut of RF/microwave applications, especially for wireless devices operating at 2.5GHz [5].
