The Phenomenon of Rabi Spectrum Broadening Caused by the Colored Noise

In this paper, the broadening phenomenon of the two-energy Rabi spectrum induced by colored noise is investigated. The Rabi spectra under near-resonance conditions are numerically simulated using the fourth-order Runge-Kuta method for three colored noises with different time-dependent properties. It is found that under near-resonance conditions, increasing the noise amplitude increases the broadening of the Rabi spectrum for a given measurement time. The closer the measurement time is to π/Ω, the smaller the noise amplitude is for a Rabi spectrum broadening of less than 10%. At the same time, the Rabi spectral broadening is enhanced at low-frequency noise. The study in this paper is useful for suppressing the noise of the optical lattice clock principal oscillator and improving the measurement accuracy of the optical lattice clock.
