Analysis of the Influence of Radome on Seeker Antenna with the Consideration of Multiphysics Effects

This paper proposes a multiphysics simulation method for the thermal-mechanical-electromagnetic analysis of radome on seeker antenna. The method integrates the discontinuous Galerkin time domain (DGTD) method for electromagnetic simulation, finite-element time-domain (FETD) method for thermal simulation, and finite element method (FEM) for mechanical simulation. Thermal and mechanical simulations are coupled through thermal stresses, influencing node displacements, mesh information and finally electromagnetic simulations. This paper uses dipole arrays as radiation sources to study the transmissivity of radomes in complex multiphysics operating environments. The proposed method deeply integrates the interaction between electromagnetic, thermal and mechanical fields, thereby enabling a more accurate simulation of the radome’s performance in a real operating environment.
