Properties of Vortex Beams with a Squared Laguerre Polynomial

In this paper, a new type of optical beams with amplitude proportional to the squared Laguerre polynomial is theoretically and numerically investigated. The results of our study showed that this kind of beams have properties which can be useful for optical communication: Fourier-invariance and fairly low sensitivity to turbulence.
