Laboratory Setup for Thermal Processing of Organic Materials with the Microwave Radiation

The possibilities of using microwave radiation for the thermal destruction of organic materials are considered. A simulation of microwave heating of peat in a reactor based on a quartz flask was carried out. Based on the results of the analysis, a laboratory model of a microwave rector was developed for experimental study of the processes of high-temperature processing of solid objects in the "industrial" range of 2.45GHz at various power levels. Using this reactor, experiments on microwave pyrolysis of peat were carried out; three fractions of reaction products were obtained and studied.
