Calculated and Experimental Analysis Acoustic Efficiency of Vehicle Exhaust Systems

This article discusses the acoustic efficiency of the exhaust system, determined both by calculation and experimentally. The effectiveness of the noise mufflers was determined by the two-load method. During the computational study, an experimental setup was modeled and identical boundary conditions were set. A comparison of calculated and experimentally obtained data is presented. The methods of conducting computational and experimental studies are shown. The differences between the results of the calculated and experimental studies are revealed and explained. Measures to improve the convergence of the results of the computational study are proposed.
