Parametric Spectral Analysis Based on the Application of a Two-Way Recursive Model with Control

A new method of spectral analysis (SA) is proposed, based on the approximation of signals on a two-way time interval by a recursive model with special control. It is shown that this method allows, by optimizing control parameters and the two-component structure of the recursive model, to obtain better spectral estimates of a multimodal quasi-harmonic signal under white noise conditions than other known methods of spectral analysis. The results of a comparative experiment are presented, confirming the unbiased nature of the resulting spectral estimates and the possibility of adequately estimating the width and amplitude of the “peaks” of the signal spectrum. The possibility of using the proposed spectral analysis method to solve problems of detecting and distinguishing signals against a background of interference is analyzed.
