Increasing the Accuracy Characteristics of the Space Monitoring System Based on Intelligent Calibration of the APAA Radio Information System

High requirements for tracking space objects with a complex trajectory force the development of new operating modes of active phased antenna arrays (APAA) of radio information systems (RIS) for space monitoring (SMS). One of the new modes is target super-resolution mode, which maximizes resolution in angle and range to the object. The article presents a method for intelligent calibration of APAA to improve the accuracy of the system based on the study of destructive environmental factors on the RIS. The method is based on an original model of thermal distortions of the amplitude-frequency response, which makes it possible to search for distortions with small temperature changes. It is shown that improving the amplitude-frequency response characteristics allows increasing the range resolution.
