Analysis of Multiple Access Systems Noise Immunity with Various Types of Modulation in Hydrooptical Channel

Transmitting data using beams of light created by lasers, LEDs, light transistors, etc. in these latter days has been gaining popularity due to its high transmission speed. Hydro-optical instruments provide high-resolution videos and photographs taken by autonomous underwater vehicles for the purpose of exploring the seabed, monitoring flora and fauna, and also communicates between divers and the ship, etc. However, the negative properties of the aquatic environment (especially air bubbles, differences in the density of water masses depending on depth, temperature and salinity) significantly affect the transmission range of the optical beam. Furthermore, various natural and artificial light sources also introduce additional interference into the transmitted data stream. This article analyzes the impact of various types of modulation on the noise immunity of optical data transmission in multiple access systems in order to neutralize the influence of the aggressiveness of the underwater channel on the transmitted data.
