Algorithm of Ionospheric Channel Dispersion Characteristic Slope and Transmission Coefficients Joint Optimal Filtering

Currently, the actual task is to increase the capacity of high frequency radio links that are actively used in hard-to-reach regions. A promising direction for solving this problem is the development of broadband radio links using the principles of spectrum spreading. However, a significant difficulty in building such systems is necessity of solving the issue of estimating the channel parameters required for setting up equalization systems. Optimal parameter filtering methods make it possible to improve the quality of primary point estimates of channel parameters, which makes it possible to either reduce the frequency of primary measurements or increase the final accuracy of the estimate. This work is devoted to the issue of synthesizing an algorithm for joint optimal filtering of the complex channel transmission coefficient and the slope of the dispersion characteristic of the ionospheric channel. To evaluate the performance of the algorithm, simulation modeling was performed using a signal generated according to the Watterson model for the ionospheric channel.
