Research of Metamaterial Based on T-square Fractal for RFID Applications

In this paper the research of metamaterial based on T-square fractal was done. Starting with the designing principles of new material, the key characteristics such as scattering parameters were obtained then with CST Studio Suite. The Nicolson-Ross-Weir method was used to calculate the medium parameters such as complex permittivity and permeability. As a result, the plots describe the material behavior in RFID frequency band were obtained and the use of this new material in RFID applications was discussed.
