Portable Low Cost Electronic Nose For Emission Testing Using Smartphone Application

Multitude of air pollutants have a wide variety of harmful effects on the environment and public health. There are currently a sizable number of cars on the road due to the population growth’s steady rise and the growing requirement for cars for mobility. Air pollutants like CO, CO2, hydrocarbons, SO 2, and others are released into the atmosphere at a higher rate as a result, endangering human health and the environment. One approach to deal with this problem is to routinely monitor the gases present in the environment. CO, NO2,SO2, and NO2 sensors, an Arduino, a buzzer, and Bluetooth HC-05 are all included in this technique. The only places in India where the existing pollution monitoring system may be accessed are emission testing facilities, which are either located in gasoline bunks or a few other locations. The model has been developed can be used by traffic enforcement to continuously and instantaneously monitor vehicle pollution levels.
