Modeling Free Vibration Propagation in 2D Cubic FGM Cylinders with Implemented Boundary Conditions Effects

This research delves into the influence of boundary conditions on guided wave propagation within complex structures, with a focus on two-dimensional cubic arrangements of Functionally Graded Materials (FGMs) in cylindrical form. The theoretical framework is established through stress-strain relations and field equations governing wave propagation. The study explores mechanical displacement profiles and normal stress profiles for various modes of wave propagation, validating the results against existing literature. Additionally, numerical simulations are conducted to indicate the correctness and dependability of the theoretical model. Spatial distributions of mechanical properties within FGM cylinders are analyzed, highlighting the effect of graded indexes on material properties. The phase velocities and power flow properties are examined, shedding light on wave dynamics and energy concentration within FGM cylinders. This work contributes to a deeper understanding of wave behavior in FGM cylindrical structures, with implications for diverse engineering applications.
