Non Field of View Imaging System of Single Photon LiDAR Combined with BM3D Algorithm

Single photon LiDAR is a new type of LiDAR technology based on weak light detection, which can achieve single photon detection and counting. Single photon LiDAR technology is closely integrated with weak light detection, ultra long distance detection, artificial intelligence and other technical fields, and has achieved multiple research results. It has been applied in fields such as autonomous driving, national defense and military, environmental monitoring, aerospace, etc. Single photon LiDAR has achieved many results in the imaging field, but there are few studies involving imaging of non field of view. This article built a single photon counting based LiDAR system, and combined traditional algorithms with BM3D imaging, and used spatially relevant photon denoising techniques to achieve imaging of occluded objects, After testing, this system can achieve non field of view imaging with a spatial resolution of no less than 100×100 at interfaces with different reflectivity.
