Abstract:
Since the turn of the century, bees have been subjected to an increase in stress, which has caused domesticated colonies to either perish or become less productive. Precision beekeeping methods are emerging as a promising tactic for improving honeybee health and production. To monitor and maintain bee colonies, these systems use a variety of technology, including robotics, artificial intelligence, and sensors more efficiently. This study, an assessment of the current state of precision beekeeping systems is done by analysing recent research and projects made around the globe. It is found that precision beekeeping technologies have shown results in terms of early disease diagnosis, hive condition optimization, and labour efficiency. However, there are still problems with beekeepers’ access to affordable, expandable, and practical alternatives. Future research and development are thought to be required to increase the efficiency of precision beekeeping systems in promoting sustainable beekeeping and the environment.
