Development of Spices Adulteration Detection System by a Visual Approach

Food is an essential component of human existence and is necessary for survival. Its quality may be harmed by the addition of specific adulterants or substances that lessen its nutritional value. Food adulteration has significant consequences that might range from gastrointestinal problems to life threatening diseases. Food adulteration has become a serious issue in modern times, one that is directly related to the general health of entire countries. The objective of this study is to propagate an advanced system that automatically detects food adulteration by using image processing techniques. Because contaminated food poses serious health risks and product integrity is being compromised in the marketplace, traditional techniques of detection are frequently labor-intensive, time consuming, and prone to error. This research work aims to overcome these challenges by utilizing image processing technology to offer a reliable and efficient way to detect contaminated food products.
