A 3-year study was conducted on zirconia and titanium abutments used for single-tooth implants. Both abutments had a 100% survival rate and yielded similar outcomes. TiZr implants have high strength, corrosion resistance, and biocompatibility. Animal and clinical studies have shown that TiZr alloys achieve good Osseo integration. RP methods are used in dentistry for various applications such as implant guides, prosthesis, and molds. The application of RP techniques in dentistry presents challenges. Digital technology has revolutionized dentistry with RP techniques. Mechanical testing was conducted on thin-walled zirconia abutments for implant-supported restorations. The fatigue behavior and failure modes of straight and angled abutments were characterized. Challenges related to the treatment of dental implants as well as the methods used for mechanical testing are discussed in this article.
