A Semi-Loop Seawater Tube Antenna Solution for 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi Router

Seawater is liquid with relatively high electric conductivity. A semi-loop seawater tube antenna is proposed in this paper. The designed antenna is made of a semi-loop tube filled with seawater and connected with the seawater in the jar. The simulated impedance bandwidth (
$\vert S_{11}\vert < - 10\ \text{dB}$
) of the proposed antenna exceeds 2.4 - 2.4835 GHz (Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz band), which has been proved through VNA measurement. Moreover, the proposed antenna made of rubber tube filled with seawater has been employed and connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi router for protype presentation. It has proved to be reliable and has great potential for development. It is also highly reconfigurable and convenient, making it a valuable asset for flexible ocean communications.
