Adaptive Transit Control with Crowd Density Estimation for UWB Contactless Gate

The rise of commercial interest in proximity services has led to the promotion of various wireless location technologies. In line with this trend, Ultra-wideband (UWB) is emerging as a promising technology for realizing proximity services due to its high level of location accuracy. We propose crowd density estimation and gate allocation algorithm for UWB contactless gate (UCG) transit control. UCG has faster traffic processing speeds than typical blocking gates by eliminating the contact process for payment or authentication.
