Compensable A-PWM µLED Pixel Circuit with 381 PPI by Reusing Reference Lines Based on p-type LTPS TFTs

This paper proposes a compact pixel circuit for micro-light-emitting diode (µLED) displays, using p-type low-temperature polycrystalline silicon (LTPS) thin-film transistors (TFTs) with V

compensation. The proposed A-PWM pixel reuses reference lines both in schematic and layout design for V

compensation and data input in same intervals, achieving a high pixel-per-inch (PPI) of 381 with minimal pixel complexity. SPICE analysis demonstrated that the gray-scale errors of the proposed pixel are below 5%, even with V

shifts of ±0.5V.
