Laser Interferometric Angle Measuring Device

Nowadays, in many areas of human life we interact with technologies and other applications of high precision methods of measurements. One of the most common types of measurements are measurements of length, coordinates and angles. In this paper described an angle measuring device which can detect angle displacements with a precision of 0,1 “ arcsec. It is based on the method of the differential wave front sensing. For such a precision of measurements, it is necessary to provide a laser with an uncertainty of a frequency not more than 20 MHz. In this paper, the method of thermal stabilization of laser’s frequency is described. It considers implementation of two proportional, integral, derivative controllers for rough and precise stabilization systems. Results of experimental studies of laser and angle interferometer layouts are shown. In conclusion, different applications of proposed device are discussed. They include angle measurements for high precision definition of coordinates of an object in a small area, angle optical elements characteristics approval and a surface shape and geometry definition.
