New Phase-Shift Controller Structure for Four-Transistor Half-Bridge Converter

A new promising half-bridge structure of a high-voltage four-switch power stage, built according to Tsarenko’s scheme, is presented. The main advantages and disadvantages of power transistors of various topologies are considered. The relevance of the topic of ongoing scientific and technical research on the design, development and experimental study of a phase PWM controller is substantiated. Various phase-shift controllers are considered, and a description of their advantages and disadvantages is given. The author’s version of the principle of constructing a phase-shift controller, based on two D-flip-flops w ith cross feedbacks, i s proposed. Various options for constructing key components of the proposed controller are given. A functional diagram of a phase-shift controller is presented with a detailed description of the functional units. A computer model of the electrical circuit diagram of the device has been developed and its brief description is given. The results of computer modeling of the circuit diagram in the OrCAD Pspice system are presented, confirming its performance.
