The Influence of External Factors on the Quality of Output Voltage Regulation in a Dual Active Bridge Converter

The paper proposes to consider the quality of regulation of the output voltage by a DC-DC converter made according to a dual active bridge circuit. The use of these converters in DC voltage stabilization systems and in power supply systems using renewable energy sources may cause poor quality regulation of the output voltage at the converter output. This effect can lead to significant errors in the operation of other converters located in the same aggregation caused by errors in the storage of different voltage levels. To analyze the quality of the system’s functioning, control algorithms of continuous and discrete types and a simulation model of the transformation were developed. The study was carried out in the SimInTech software environment. The result was that when significant fluctuations in the output voltage applied to the common DC bus of the converter change, it causes significant deterioration in the functionality of the system. This effect manifests itself both in an increase in the value of the control error, the appearance of a static control error, and in the impossibility of the functioning of the given systems.
