Study of the Influence of Navigation Signal Distortions on the Accuracy of the Navigation Receiver Discriminator

When calibrating global navigation satellite system GNSS receiver using a navigation signal simulator, the frequency dependence of calibration corrections to pseudorange measurements is traced. A phenomenon is known that consists in the difference between calibration corrections to pseudorange measurements for navigation spacecraft emitting a navigation signal at the same frequency. For the global navigation satellite system GLONASS (with frequency division) this problem is typical of single-liter devices. Currently, there is evidence that the difference in calibration corrections for navigation spacecraft emitting a navigation signal at the same frequency differs the more the time difference between their commissioning. The article considers the issue of the influence of distortions of the navigation signal on the accuracy of the discriminator of the navigation receiver, which proves perhaps one of the reasons for the difference between calibration corrections for navigation spacecraft emitting a navigation signal at the same frequency. The article presents a semi-natural experiment showing the presence of distortions in the rangefinder code of the navigation signal. A mathematical model of distortion is described and an assessment of the characteristics of distortion of the navigation signal is given. A mathematical model of the discriminator of the navigation receiver has been developed and the effect of distortions in the navigation signal on the accuracy of the discriminator has been studied. The results of evaluating the effect of various distortions of the navigation signal on the operation of the discriminator are shown.
