Reconstruction and Analysis of the Gene Network for Regulation of Trait Anxiety Level in Mice by Means of ANDsystem Software

The study of the genetic reasons of the personal trait anxiety is associated with the need to analyze the role of many interrelated factors. The trait anxiety level is regulated by the expression of many genes and proteins, which in turn depends on several environmental factors. No single experimental study can determine the entire genetic mechanism of psychological trait formation. This problem can be solved by compiling the results of many experimental studies into a common computer model that reconstructs the genetic network of trait anxiety. The aim of our study is to reconstruct the genetic network of trait anxiety in mice using the software tool ANDSystem. This tool makes it possible to reconstruct genetic networks based on the analysis of scientific publications taken from open Internet sources. It was reconstructed the network for genes that showed differential expression in brain structures such as cingulate cortex, amygdala, and hippocampus. Two models were built- (1) a network distinguishing high anxiety mice from medium anxiety mice, (2) a network distinguishing medium anxiety mice from low anxiety mice. It was revealed that the structure of the genetic network, which forms differences between mice with high and medium anxiety, does not fully coincide with the structure of the genetic network regulating differences between mice with medium and low anxiety. Thus, an informational analysis of the texts of scientific publications using the ANDSystem tool showed that low anxiety has its own genetic mechanism, different from the mechanism of both medium and high anxiety.
